PAKISTAN PREMIER LEAGUE CRICKET 2019

Draft of Pakistan premier league cricket 2019 was held in November 2018. 4th edition is get set to be played during the month of February, 2019. This draft session was held in Lahore in the National Academy for cricket on November 12, 2018, Sunday. This time there is a change to the whole plot with the addition of one more team to the squad.

Yes more thrill, more adventure, more enjoyment, more competition will be experienced this time due to Multan Sultans being part of the PSL 2019 edition. This new franchise was selected from multiple new franchises that offered to be the 6th team of the Pakistan premier league cricket 2019. Tom Moody and Shoaib Malik respectively were announced to be the coach and the captain of Multan Sultans. Each of the five existing teams was permitted to keep 9 players each. Newest added team namely Multan Sultans being new, got their 9 pick of players from the players` pool that were released by 5 other franchises. That would definitely be of your interest to know that total 501 players including 193 local and 308 foreign players participated in the Pakistan premier league 2019. Each franchise was permitted to select one player from gold, platinum and diamond categories. Each of these were also allowed to choose 2 players from silver category as well as form list of emerging players for stacking up their squads with max 20 players.

PAKISTAN PREMIER LEAGUE CRICKET

Now let`s talk about purse retained by each franchise. All franchises had amount of $1.2m. Players from platinum category will enjoy earnings between $140,000 & $200,000. In case of Diamond category, this amount will be at minimum of $70,000. Gold category players with minimum earning of $50,000 are no less good. For players forms silver category as well as belonging to emerging category were kept at cap of $22,000 & $10,000 respectively.

Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Amir, Babar Azam, Ravi Bopara, Khurram Manzoor, Usama Mir, Usman Khan and captain Imad Wasim. Previously Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan played for Peshawar Zalmi whereas this time, he will be representing Karachi Kings.

PLAYERS RETAINED BY LAHORE QALANDARS
Sohail Khan, Bilawal Bhatti, Aamer Yamin, Cameron Delport, Yasir Shah, Fakhar Zaman, Sunil Narine, Umar Akmal and captain Brendon McCullum.

Asif Ali, Amad Butt, Iftikhar Ahmed, Samuel Badree, Shadab Khan, Rumman Raees, Andre Russel, Mohammad Sami and captain Misbah-ul-haq.

PLAYERS RETAINED QUETTA GLADIATORS
Asad Shafiq, Mir Hamza, Umar Amin, Mahmudullah, Anwar Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Rilee Rossouw, Kevin Pietersen and captain Sarfraz Ahmed.

PLAYERS RETAINED PESHAWAR ZALMI
Mohammad Ashgar, Chris Jordan, Haris Sohail, Hasan Ali, Kamran Akmal, Shakib-al-Hasan, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Hafeez and captain Darren Sammy.

PLAYERS RETAINED MULTAN SULTANS
As Multan Sultans is the newly added franchise in Pakistan premier league cricket 2019 so there is no retainer ship of previous players but there are pre-draft players. These names include Kashif Bhatti, Irfan Khan, Sohaib Maqsood, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Sohail Tanvir, Kumar Sangakkara, Kieron Pollard and Captain Shoaib Malik.
